Welcome to our website
Welcome to our website and to our four churches set in the rolling farmland of the Amber Valley in Derbyshire. The parishes of our four churches are a Mission and Ministry Area within the Diocese of Derby and the Church of England.
We believe we can live out our Christian faith by "working and playing together, with God, for people" - this is the motto of the Amber Churches. To learn more about us and our churches, have a look round our website - and we hope we will be able to greet you soon in person.
Unfortunately, our church services, events and group activities have been cancelled until further notice to restrict the spread of the Covid-19 virus and all church buildings remain closed.
An order of service is available for each week during these times; click here to see the

Maybe you have questions about what it means to be a Christian - what we believe, how a man called Jesus who died 2000 years ago can be saviour and a friend. Please click on this link to learn more about Christianity.
Our Lifeline - Prayer
A small group of church members pray regularly in confidence for special concerns and for the community; if you would like prayer for yourself or a situation, please telephone the Rector.
During the days of Covid-19 all Amber Churches members are asked to commit to a daily time of prayer at 9.30am, to pray for the ongoing crisis caused by the coronavirus. Although there are restrictions on gatherings our prayers can still be co-ordinated, at a distance from our homes. Jesus said when two or three are gathered he will be there; He did not say we needed to be in the same room. Whatever you are doing would you break off at 9.30am and pray with us?
If you would like to see how Christians talk to God through prayer, or get hints on how to set about this, please click on this link.
Prayer of the Month
Keep us, good Lord,
under the shadow of your mercy.
Sustain and support the anxious,
be with those who care for the sick,
and lift up those who are brought low.
Strengthen us in our daily living
that in our joys and sorrows
we may know your presence to bind together and to heal.
May your blessing be upon us,
your light to guide us
and your love to unite us, now and forever, Amen.
